Feeling Gratitude

This year…well, this year. It would be easy to get bogged down in this year, but as we look out on the first grey drizzly morning we’ve seen in months we are grateful; grateful for you; grateful to be here; grateful for our community, and of course, grateful for a little rain.

We know that our larger community is struggling, and the importance of small businesses to communities has never been more heightened than in this time. One of the ways we’re hoping to help our community is Gratitude Saturday.

What is Gratitude Saturday?

When you shop online or in person on every Saturday of the month we will give 10% of total profits to a local non-profit organization. Each month we will choose a local charity based on your suggestions.

What is March’s charity?

Sister José Women’s Center (SJWC) is dedicated to the care and nurture of homeless women in a welcoming and safe environment. For many Tucson women experiencing homelessness, their only safe haven and the first step to recovery from homelessness is Sister Jose. They are a Tucson-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009. Their day center provides unaccompanied homeless women with a stable and safe environment to recuperate from the daily struggle of homelessness and extreme poverty. The Winter Night Program provides overnight stays for women who would otherwise be sleeping outside. They are a community built upon the values of compassion, dignity and respect in a non-institutionalized setting.
