February 16- March 15
Sock pattern: Matsudana
Designer: Janice Kang
Yarn: Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere
I love a good cable, but sometimes they can be overwhelming on a sock. Something a little more intricate and delicate – Matsudana fitted the bill. The combination of dainty cables, lace panels and twisted stitches are lovely. This is not mindless knitting, you’re going to have to watch the pattern, but the product is stunning. It’s a great pattern for a sock knitter looking more of a challenge.
I knit these first in a darker yarn, but it didn’t show of the pattern so I switched over to the dreamy Dream in Color Smooshy with Cashmere. This pair is in the Sprout colorway, perfect for branching cables!
